Roles Introduction
Roles are groups of settings that apply to users which enables access to different features. Partners with the Partner admin role can assign roles to other users.
There are 6 partner roles that can be assigned which give different levels of access to the Partner portal. You can assign multiple roles to a user.
Customers need either a customer admin or a customer user role to access the customer portal.
View your roles #
You can view what roles have been assigned to you when viewing your user details.
- Log into the FUSION IoT Portal
- Click your profile information
Any assigned roles will be listed under Your active role.
If multiple roles have been assigned, you can swap between them which will change what features you interact with. To swap roles select the radio button next to the relevant role.
Partner roles #
There are 6 partner roles:
Role | Overview |
---|---|
Partner admin | The Partner admin role provides the most functionality and ensures all features within the Partner portal can be managed. Partner admins do not have access to Bill runs. |
Partner provisioning | The Provisioning role gives a user access to configure SIM status changes, assign SIMs to Customers, create and edit Customers and Customer Services, view Notification history and view Journal. |
Partner account mgt | The Account mgt role gives a user access to view Customer details. |
Partner deployment of customers | The Deployment of Customers role gives a user access configure SIM status changes, assign SIMs to Customers, view and edit Customer details. |
Partner support | The Support role gives a user access to configure SIM status changes, assign SIMs to Customers, Customer details and review the Journal for support. |
Partner billing | The Billing role gives a user to view Journal and view and create Bill runs. |

Customer roles #
There are 2 customer roles:
Role | Overview |
---|---|
Customer admin | The customer admin role ensures all features within the customer portal can be viewed. |
Customer user | The customer user role ensures users can view their SIMs and customer details. |
