Create a Dynamic Pool Alarm

Note: Alarms have a dependency on the SIMs CDR (Call Detail Record) being up to date, this can take up to 24 hrs. This delay should be taken into consideration when setting up an alarm. |
Create an alarm #
Alarms share the same general settings that need to be configured when an alarm is added. There are then additional alarm specific settings that also need to be configured in order to create an alarm.
General settings #
- Navigate to Reports & Alarms → Alarms
- Click the New Alarm tab
- Select the Alarm type Dynamic Pool
- Ensure the Active checkbox is selected (deselect the checkbox to deactivate the the alarm)
- Enter an alarm name
Repeat Settings #
To create a repeatable alarm:
- Ensure the active checkbox is selected (active checkbox is selected by default)
- Enter the delay time before the alarm repeats (the default is 24 hours)
- If you want the alarm to be triggered once and never again deselect the active checkbox
Snooze Options #
Select a Snooze option:
- Snooze for 7 days
- Snooze to end of the month
- Snooze for a custom period by clicking the input field and selecting a date and time
Filter Type #
Select a Filter type (See Filter types):
- Partner – The alarm applies to SIMs under your Partner company
- Customer – The alarm applies to specified Customers
- Service – The alarm applies to specific Customer services
Watch For #
Select a Watch for option:
- Consumption – Data used by each SIM
- Pool size left – Remaining data per SIM
Limits #
Configure the limits for the alarm:
- Select the limit unit (GB, MB, KB or %)
- Enter the limit amount
- Select the template type – The type of email type for the notification (Warning or Error)
Notifications #
To send a notification when the limit is reached:
- Enter the email address of the user who should be notified (Addresses can either be added as a direct email or as a BCC/CC)
- Click add email to add multiple recipients and enter another email address
- Click Create alarm
The alarm displays in the table.
Activate alarms #
When you create an alarm, you can choose whether or not to activate the alarm. If the alarm is activated, it monitors data to ensure an alert is sent when limits are reached. If the alarm is not activated, it will not monitor data and no alerts are sent even if the usage exceeds the limits set.
When you create and edit alarms, you can activate them by selecting the checkbox next to Activate . To set the alarm to inactive, deselect the checkbox.
