Creating Customer Services

What role/s can do this? Partner admin & Partner provisioning.

Customer Services are created to control SIM usage. For example, a service might allow for 10GB of data per month using a specific SIM with access to multiple networks over a minimum term.

Services are created by selecting a tariff and entering a Service name. Tariffs are made available by your service provider.

Note: You can view what tariffs are available when viewing your Partner details under the Assigned tariffs tab. See View assigned tariffs.

Create a Customer Service #

A service needs to be created for every tariff. Therefore, if you have 50 tariffs you will need to create 50 services.

  1. Navigate to Customers
  2. Click Detail in the Actions column for the relevant customer
  3. Select the Services tab
  4. Using the Create new service dropdown, select the relevant tariff
  5. Click Load tariff
  6. Enter a Service name (see service naming convention below)
  7. Click Create service

The customer service displays in the table.

Service naming convention #

When you create a service, the recommended naming convention is to combine the short name of your customer name and the tariff name. For example, you might have the following information:

Customer nameSpar
Tariff nameRetail_FUSIONUltimate_4Net_A1_100GB
Service nameSP – Retail_FUSIONUltimate_4Net_A1_100GB
Note: When you add new customers, you can add a short name to the Company info.

Next Step #

Once you have created all the Customer Services that your customers need, it is recommended that you migrate the Holding Service to another Partner Service.
