Creating Customer Services
What role/s can do this? Partner admin & Partner provisioning.
Customer Services are created to control SIM usage. For example, a service might allow for 10GB of data per month using a specific SIM with access to multiple networks over a minimum term.
Services are created by selecting a tariff and entering a Service name. Tariffs are made available by your service provider.
Note: You can view what tariffs are available when viewing your Partner details under the Assigned tariffs tab. See View assigned tariffs. |
Create a Customer Service #
A service needs to be created for every tariff. Therefore, if you have 50 tariffs you will need to create 50 services.
- Navigate to Customers
- Click Detail in the Actions column for the relevant customer
- Select the Services tab
- Using the Create new service dropdown, select the relevant tariff
- Click Load tariff
- Enter a Service name (see service naming convention below)
- Click Create service
The customer service displays in the table.
Service naming convention #
When you create a service, the recommended naming convention is to combine the short name of your customer name and the tariff name. For example, you might have the following information:
Customer name | Spar |
Tariff name | Retail_FUSIONUltimate_4Net_A1_100GB |
Service name | SP – Retail_FUSIONUltimate_4Net_A1_100GB |
Note: When you add new customers, you can add a short name to the Company info. |
Next Step #
Once you have created all the Customer Services that your customers need, it is recommended that you migrate the Holding Service to another Partner Service.
