Create a SIM IMEI status change Alarm

What role/s can do this? Partner Admin

Note: Alarms have a dependency on the SIMs CDR (Call Detail Record) being up to date, this can take up to 24 hrs. This delay should be taken into consideration when setting up an alarm.

Create an alarm #

General settings #

  1. Navigate to Reports & Alarms  → Alarms
  2. Click the New Alarm tab
  3. Select the Alarm type SIM IMEI status change
  4. Ensure the Active checkbox is selected (deselect the checkbox to deactivate the alarm)
  5. Enter an alarm name
Repeat Settings #

To create a repeatable alarm:

  1. Ensure the active checkbox is selected (active checkbox is selected by default)
  2. Enter the delay time before the alarm repeats (the default is 24 hours)
  3. If you want the alarm to be triggered once and never again deselect the active checkbox
Snooze Options #

Select a Snooze option:

  • Snooze for 7 days
  • Snooze to end of the month
  • Snooze for a custom period by clicking the input field and selecting a date and time
Deactivate SIM #
  • Deactivate SIM checkbox – Deactivate the SIM when IMEI status change triggers alarm
Notifications #

To send a notification when the limit is reached:

  1. Enter the email address of the user who should be notified (Addresses can either be added as a direct email or as a BCC/CC)
  2. Click add email to add multiple recipients and enter another email address
  3. Click Create alarm

The alarm displays in the table.

Assign IMEI status change Alarm to SIMs #

Once you have created your alarm, you must assign the alarm to the specific SIMs to you want to monitor. See Assign SIM to an IMEI status change Alarm.

Activate alarms #

When you create an alarm, you can choose whether or not to activate the alarm. If the alarm is activated, it monitors data to ensure an alert is sent when limits are reached. If the alarm is not activated, it will not monitor data and no alerts are sent even if the usage exceeds the limits set.

When you create and edit alarms, you can select the checkbox next to Activate to activate them. To set the alarm to inactive, deselect the checkbox.
