Activating SIMs
What role/s can do this? Partner admin, Partner provisioning, Partner deployment of Customers & Partner support.
When SIMs first become available in the portal after a new order is processed, they have restrictions applied that block data usage. To remove the restrictions and make the SIMs available for use, the status needs to be changed to ACTIVE.
The initial status of the SIM may vary from operator to operator, however it will likely be ACTIVATION_READY meaning restrictions are applied.

Activate SIMs #
- Navigate to SIM overview
- Using the Action dropdown, select Change SIM Status
- Click Execute
- Using the Change status to dropdown, select ACTIVE
- Select the relevant SIM card(s)
- Click Execute
The status change will be processed. This may take a few minutes to update.
| Note: You can filter SIMs to generate a specific list of SIMs. You can then select some or all SIMs to perform actions on. |
